Weekend Reflections-

I think I am going to start doing the weekend reflections too. I need to find the positive things that happen in my life instead of concentrating on the negative.

-I have a job interview today at 1. I am looking at getting another nail technician position. I am currently working doing child care at the gym. I has a job at a spa next door to where I work now, but at the end of August the owner decided to close on us. No warning, no nothing. I guess I should count my blessings though-I am the only one who got their final check from her. God is good! I pray this interview goes well!

-My family and I were able to take a long needed break from all of the stresses we have been dealing with. We went to an apple orchard with our friends (I am so glad God has brought them into our lives!) and we had a great time!

-On the trip to the apple orchard, our girls rode with them, so my husband and I were able to talk about some things we had going on, and we were able to understand each other and where we were coming from on these issues.

-I have also discovered where most of my issues lie with anything. I am not spending enough time in God's word. The only issue I have with that is when I open my bible, I never know where to start. I wind up flipping pages until I get frustrated and put it away. Anyone got any suggestions?

I feel that a lot of things got accomplished for me this week. I am so glad that God finally found His way to make me see. God is good!

Ok, so where do I begin? I have so much on my mind and don't know where to release it all. Betty knows alot, but I don't want to burden her all the time. I am just sooooooooooo thankful that I can call her and talk anytime. She's a really great person and a really great friend! I love her lots! I don't really know how to express right now how I am feeling, so I just ask for you all to pray for me to make it through all of this. I know I need to get in the right place with God, but I just can't seem to get there. I just need lots of prayers right now. Thanks everyone!

I have gotten so behind in my posting. We have just been so busy and I am working 12 hour days to make extra money, so I really haven't had time to get on the computer. I am trying to diligently work on the Christmas gifts I am making and I am enjoying that, spend some time with my girls, take care of my husband, and help people out at work. The only problem I am running into is that I am having no time for myself. I hope that doesn't seem to selfish. I am just slowly running out of things to give. My husband and I are having an issue right now, and it has been an issue on and off our whole marriage. I try to explain to him about intimacy and the things I need, like the cuddling and the holding and stuff like that, and he just doesn't understand it. I don't want him to feel like I don't want to be with him, but I just need him to understand what I need too and I don't know how to tell him without making him feel bad, and I don't want that either.

On a positive note, we were able to go out with some friends Friday night. I had a blast, between Chili's and WalMart. And it was nice to be out without children. I love my girls so much, but I need that away time a little too. We also got a rabbit yesterday. I was on freecycle and someone was giving her away, so we brought her home. I love animals! We have alot but we love them all! I am now alone at work, so I need to tend to the kids, but I will return soon.

Oh my goodness! I haven't posted since Thursday. We have been so busy! Today was the children's musical at church, and I had to work Friday night and Saturday morning. We went to Betty's house Saturday afternoon for Jody's birthday, and wound up staying longer than we thought. I had a blast though! Even got to go to a yard sale out there and got a great silver tea set fo $5! I am trying to collect silver thing to match my great grandma's silver I now have, that way when my girls are old enough, they can have the collection and hopefully add to it. Anyway, the kids all did EXCELLENT at the musical tonight! I am going to download pics tomorrow and post them so I can share with everyone! I am so proud of each one of these kids. They put in 6 months worth of practice for this, and they did so well. My oldest, Megan, had a solo along with Bethany in one of the songs, and I think it made Megan feel even closer to Bethany because of it. I am glad that she is able to have such a good friend. Bethany is a great kid. She did GREAT on her solo too! I just can't believe it is all over now. Until January that is. We still have quiz practice, but I think all of us are going to take a break for a week. After next week that is because the kids have their first quiz competition on the 21st of this month. We are studying the book of Acts this year, and my husband is the quiz director at our church. I try to help him where I can. We have a ton of fun with that too. I just love working with the kids and if I help them learn one thing about God or help one of them come to know Him better, I feel like I did my job. Well, I'm tired and I'm going to bed now. I will be back tomorrow!

So, God is good! I had a really rough night last night, but through Him I made it! And also thanks to Betty. After having an awful night, I read what she posted about me on her blog and it made me feel so good! I love the fact that I have such a great friend like her! Thanks Betty! On to some things I am doing. I am making a bunch of Christmas gifts, and I bought a ton of yarn today for them. My mom sent me money for my birthday, and I spent it ALL on yarn! I got red w/silver, green w/silver and the one I have been looking for for months, white w/silver! I can't wait to get started! I got a shipment that I ordered from ebay yesterday and I have another one coming tomorrow! The one I got yesterday has purple, mauve, and some variegated, and the one coming tomorrow is christmas variegated! So much to do and so little time! Got to wrap up at work, so I will be back tomorrow!

P.S. Thanks again Betty! I love you!

Ok, so we just got home from church, and I am tired. There are lots of things I need to do before going to bed however. Didn't eat dinner, so I need to eat, got to get the girls stuff ready for school tomorrow, take care of Jim since he's sick, and I want to post this blog too. I am thinking right now about church and the children's musical we are doing on Sunday. I am excited because my oldest daughter has a solo part in it and she's a cheerleader too. My husband is even in it since there was a need for a few adult parts also. Megan has really gotten her solo down, and I can't wait to see it all come together. We've been working for what seems like months, and I think it really has been something like 3 or 4 now. The children have worked hard, and I wish them all the best in performing. I am excited for the people coming to see it too. Hopefully we will reach at least one person and bring them closer to God thorugh the children. Ok, so I'm gonna go tackle my list of things to do but I will return tomorrow.

Can i just tell you that the traffic on 20 is not so bad tonight? Kinda unusual this time of day....makes my night better though.

So, I am at work right now, but it is really quiet here. There are two of us and only three kids, one of them being my co worker's daughter, so I have some time to think. I am still just jotting thoughts and whatnot, so if I seem unorganized at this right now I apologize. I'm thinking I am really going to like this. I can talk about anything under the sun, and I don't have to rely on my husband to listen to everything. Some woman things just aren't interesting to men I guess. That's ok, because all of his stuff isn't interesting to me either. I just made a run to Wal-Mart for lunch @ McDonald's, and wound up buying more yarn. I love to craft and crochet, and I have this thing that I CAN NOT go into Wal-Mart without buying at least one skein of yarn! I have tons of colors and I love to get a great deal on them. I got some today that was on half price clearance! Gotta love it! I am getting frustrated with a co-worker, but I think it's going to be different now that all the cards are on the table, so.......Ok, what else is on my mind right now? Hmmmm.......My oldest daughter is getting a bit mouthy lately, so I pray to the Lord every day that I can make it through this rough patch. Unfortunately she is just like her mother.... :-) We do butt heads a lot, but I love her and my other daughter so much that sometimes it hurts. Love like that is wonderful though, isn't it? Ok, I need to do some work now, but I WILL be back. Hopefully later today.

Ok, so my friend Betty has gotten me interested in this blogging thing. I am trying to figure it out, and also to get my thoughts on.....well, paper isn't the right word, but get them down. I am at a point in my life that I feel I really need spiritual fullfillment. Maybe I'm stretching myself too thin with all that I do, but I enjoy it all and can't seem to stop. Once I get onto something I just run with it. I first want to say that I am so very thankful for my circle if friends that I have developed here in Georgia. All the rest of my family lives in Baltimore, MD, and I really feel like they have picked up the ball so to speak, and they have become my family. John and Betty, Caryl and Rick, Lisa and Rodney, Alice and Sam, they have all been there for us, and recently I have felt a closer bond with them. They were all there for us last weekend with an ordeal we had to go through, and I am so greatful for that. Especially John with his comedic efforts; I just can't say enough how much that meant to me. BTW, when you see him, ask him to see his Kroger plus card............All of these families have children the ages of my girls too, 9 & 5, and it really helps them to have a support system too outside of mom and dad. It's getting late, so I am going to get some rest now. I am going to post on my daily life starting tomorrow, and I look forward to anyone's comments. I would love to hear from you all!
